MWS Limitations on FBA/Used/New Price Display for Database Search

Issue:

Database search is missing some FBA offers, or used/new prices are not continuous (missing one or more prices in between)

Explanation:

The API imposes limitations to display FBA offers and continuous prices on our app. Amazon’s MWS program sorts the lowest 20 used and new prices into different groups based on the condition, seller rating, and fulfillment channel. It only returns the lowest price from each group (not the total 20 lowest prices). These same limitations apply to other scouting vendors as well.

Conclusion:

The program will not always display continuous prices but will return the lowest used and new price.*. The program will not show the used FBA price when it is higher than the 20th used price or the new FBA price when it is higher than the 20th new price. If the used Buy Box price is higher than the last used price shown, it is usually the lowest FBA price.

• Amazon only returns the lowest price from each group after sorting the lowest 20 prices into different groups.
  

*Using the live search after a database search quickly filters out the winners: the Scoutly app will be able to return the lowest used and new FBA price when you do a live search. It will also return continuous new and used prices.
