Using a CF Scanner
In order to scan barcodes using a CF Scanner, make sure the scanner is inserted into the Compact Flash (CF) slot on the top of the PDA, and then press the “SocketScan” button on your PDA. If you bought the scanner package from us, you can press any physical buttons to use the scanner. If you have your own PDA, you need to install the SocketScan program and assign a trigger button. Using a Bluetooth Scanner
You can also use SocketMobile handheld Bluetooth scanner to scan the barcode. Please see http://www.asellertool.com/support/7M_v3_setup.htm . While using the Bluetooth scanner, you can either put the PDA in your pocket and use an earpiece to listen to audio cues, or use an armband to attach the PDA to your arm.
Using the Numpad
If there is no barcode to scan, then you can manually input the number by tapping the ‘NUM’ button.
Press the ‘OK’ button to search for the number entered. To return to the main screen without searching, press the ‘INFO’ button on the top right hand side.
If you are entering a 13 digit EAN barcode beginning with ‘978’, you can tap the ‘978’ button.
If the number ends with the letter ‘X’, you can skip it and tap the “OK” button.
Tap the Back Arrow button (<-) to delete previous entered number.
