Different Offer Types

You can list books for sale as Merchant Fulfilled (MF), or Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA). If you are a reliable seller by Amazon standard and list your books via FBA, your listing can win the Buy Box.

• Merchant Fulfilled (MF): You store the books in your place (your home or warehouse). When the book is sold, you fulfill the order to ship this book to the buyer. This is shown as (1) in Amazon offer page for your listing.

• Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA): You pack 20 to 70 books in one box and ship to an Amazon warehouse. When the book is sold, Amazon will fulfill the order by shipping the book to the buyer. This is shown as (2) in the Amazon offer page for your listing. There is a Fulfillment by Amazon badge (3) on your listing as well. By listing your book as FBA, Amazon prime buyers can buy your book without shipping cost and receive the book in 1 to 2 days guaranteed. Buyers (esp. the students waiting for the textbook for their new class) will pay a higher price in order to receive the book quickly.

• Buyer can check (3) to only view Prime (FBA) offer.

• Buy Box (BB): If you are a good seller and list your book as FBA, you can win the Buy Box (4) if your listing price is the lowest among other good sellers. A lot of buyers will skip other offers (5) and just click the Add to Cart button (6) on the buy box to purchase this item. To be able to win the Buy Box for your listing will allow you to gain advantage against other sellers who sell this book as well.
